_Making Your Own Corner TV stand

_Finding a television set for your living room is one thing but placing it in a suitable manner is a whole other ball game. Entertainment centers and television centers usually available in stores can take up a lot of space. You would either find a comparatively larger television stand, with a lot of space that would just go to waste, or quite smaller units, with not a lot of space for the entire entertainment unit. Finding the right flat screen TV stands or entertainment center for you can take a lot of your time, and might not be even that budget friendly. You always have the option of hiring someone and mounting the television set over the wall but whereas the fun in that. That's why many opt for building their own television stand.

_ Before starting with making your own corner TV stand, measure your television set. This way you can make the television stand of just the right size. After getting the necessary measurements, add about an inch or so on each side. This should serve as the basis for your entertainment center. Now its time to get the calculators out and apply a few formulas to get the exact length for the sides of the television set. Use the width that you had previously measured and square that number. With that done, simply divide the number with two and find out the square root of that number. Once you are done with this little math homework, round off the number to the nearest zero and there you have it. Now you have with you the width and length of the sides.

Now get your hands on the plywood pieces and measure out the distance that you had determined previously. You would have to do the same for both directions to cover each corner. Once you are done with that, simply mark the two spots. Now connect the two markings by drawing a straight line. Now take out your saw and cut the plywood along that straight line. It is recommended to use the necessary tools for drawling the lines since you need to be as precise as possible. When you are done with one piece, repeat the whole process to make another piece of plywood. Together these two pieces of plywood would form the base structure and top half of your corner TV stand.

_Now comes positioning your television set and determining the height in which you need the television set to be elevated. Keeping the television two feet above the ground is ideal but the important thing to understand here is that you can completely customize the look and feel of the whole television set according to your preferences, that means experimenting around and determining a height which you are comfortable with.

With more than half of the entertainment unit completed, you would now be moving towards making the legs for your television stand. For making the legs, you would need to mark three boards, using one inch for width and six inches for the height. These should be according the measurements taken previously. With that done, cut the marked boards, forming the basis of the legs.  To form a base for your television stand, screw the legs from the bottom for the lower plywood and from the top from the plywood at the top.

_Now that you have a basic skeleton structure for your television stand, its time to fine tune the whole unit and merge it with your interior décor. There are a number of ways to go about this. From painting the whole unit to applying vibrant and intricate textures, you can let your creativity run wild and come up with something you can be really proud of. You can even personalize the space and create drawers or divided portions for your collectibles and valued prized possessions. If you are going to put so much effort at building your own entertainment unit, you might want to put the extra effort and give it the finishing touch that it deserves. Its all about showcasing your taste and the love you have for beautifying your own personal space.
